We’ve shared lots of free templates for kids crafts with tons of ideas that I think would be perfect for spring. If you make a collage using this template then I’d recommend printing it onto cardstock rather than paper so that it doesn’t become saturated with the glue or get too heavy and tear. Making a collage is a great way to practice using scissors with your child as you ca make small snips into your material and you don’t need to worry about following lines when you cut. You could use construction paper, fabric, yarn or scrap paper from old magazines, just take a look to see what you can find in your craft supplies. Simply cover your bird’s body in glue and then add your materials to decorate it. You can stick to just covering the bird itself or you could decorate the background too. This template would be great for making a collage or some mixed media art. Using this in place of a paint bush you can now dip your celery into your paint and then dab it all over your bird’s body to give little half circle shapes to look like the edges of your bird’ feathers. Simply pour some colored paints onto a plate or tray so that they are easy to access and then cut a strip of celery – this is obviously a bit for an adult to do. Put some glue o your paper where you would like the next to be and then scrunch up some paper and glue it on. Make a NestĬolor in your bird and then using brown paper make a next for them. All you need to do is print out your favourite of the designs and grab some markers, coloring pencils or crayons.Ĭoloring is also a really good quiet time activity and it’s a nice one to have on standby if you have a group of kids too. We love coloring as a super easy and quick activity to do with your child.
